Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister, in a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart, discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan, as well as the recent developments in Yemen, stressing the need for a lasting ceasefire in the country.

Iran Press/Iran News: During the phone conversation between Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday, the latest developments in the political disputes in Afghanistan, especially the peace process in the country, as well as recent developments in Yemen and the need for a lasting ceasefire in the country, were discussed.

The latest situation of coronavirus in the region and the world and the ways to deal with this crisis were other topics discussed in the conversation.

In another telephone conversation with his Turkish and Qatari counterparts this morning, Iranian Foreign Minister also discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan, especially the peace process in the country.
