Tehran (IP) - Iranian government spokesman answered the question of Iran Press correspondent in his press conference about the aim of participation of Zionist representatives in the upcoming Maritime Security Conference in Bahrain.

Iran PressIran news: Ali Rabiei said that there had been news regarding Israel's participation at this conference but the point is the participants who are making decisions over the region's security and peace are the ones who don't dare to attend the meeting.

"They (the Zionist regime) secretly send representatives to attend the meeting," he said.

He stressed that the Zionist regime is an intrusive element in the region and its viewpoints do not matter to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He also highlighted that the Zionist regime has created more unrest in the region than any other country, adding, "The host country has shown its inexperience by allowing the regime to participate in the conference."

He concluded his remarks by saying, "Security in the Persian Gulf is not possible without the participation of all countries in the region."

A two-day US-sponsored maritime security conference is due to be held in Manama, Bahrain from 21 - 22 October 2019.

The maritime security meeting in Manama is a follow-up to the US-led anti-Iran conference held in the Polish capital of Warsaw in February. 104/211/209
