Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said that Iran doesn't want war, but is fully prepared for it.

Iran Press/ Iran news: Major General Hussein Salami on Thursday also said that the downing of a US drone carried a clear message to Iran’s arch enemy, the United States.

Speaking at the commemoration ceremony of 5400 martyrs of Kurdistan province in Sanandaj, Salami said: "The downing of the American drone is a clear message to America. The message is that the defenders of the Islamic Republic of Iran's borders will react definitely to any attack by a foreign country," Iran Press reported.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has shot down a US RQ-4 spy drone close to the Iranian province of Hormozgan in Persian Gulf Shores on Thursday.

"Iran's borders are our red line and we will react strongly to any aggression," he added.

Salami continued: "Iran is not seeking war with any country, but we are fully prepared to defend Iran."

On Jun 19, the chief commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami said that the country managed to change the balance of power in its favor by harnessing the technology required for manufacturing ballistic missiles.
