Mikhail Ulyanov Russian Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna

Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) signatories taking part in the Arbitral Commission held in Vienna on Sunday July 28 decided to usher in the process of lifting sanctions on Iran, Russian Permanent Representative to the Vienna-based international organizations said.

Iran Press/Europ: The Russian Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna and envoy the International Atomic Energy Agency Mikhail Ulyanov wrote on his Twitter account; "Three major decisions were made by the Joint Commission on #JCPOA meeting on 28 July: decision to continue work on sanctions-lifting; reaffirmation of collective responsibility for nuclear projects in Arak (led by China & UK) and Fordo (led by Russia); Ministerial meeting will be convened in near future," Iran Press reported.

On Sunday the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement outlining the achievements of the JCPOA Arbitral Commission and warned that "the US maximum pressure" has caused a crisis to the JCPOA.

Iran's Araghchi after the meeting described the 'emergency meeting' with JCPOA signatories constructive.

The meeting of the JCPOA joint commission was held in Vienna with the remaining parties to the pact discussing the nuclear deal, and how it can be salvaged.

Envoys from Britain, France, Germany, Russia, China, and Iran took part in Sunday's session, discussing ways of preserving the agreement, given the fact that the United States withdrew from it in May 2018 and re-imposed sanctions on the Islamic Republic. 205/2017
