Two blasts hit Mogadishu, capital of Somalia, one of them in a hotel in the city, while another is believed to be caused by a car parked near a bank.

Iran Press/Africa: Somalian armed group, Al Shabaab has claimed responsibility for the roadside bomb explosion, also stating that the attack has killed 6 soldiers.

Somalian officials, however, have not addressed the statement yet, Reuters reported.

Al Shabaab, which has links to the al-Qaeda terrorist organisation, has conducted numerous attacks throughout the country.

Somalia has been gripped by the violence and lawlessness since dictator Mohamed Siad Barre was toppled in 1991.105/209.
