Tehran (IP) - Iran's court sentenced the ringleader of the Thunder terrorist group to death, on charges of spreading corruption on the Earth through planning and directing terrorist acts.

Iran PressIran news: The Public Relations of Tehran's Judiciary Department announced that with the end of investigations, Tehran's Court of Revolution issued a death sentence for Jamshid Sharmahd because of his key role in leading terrorist acts in Iran.

In the last two decades, Sharmahd implemented his plans under the Association of Iran's Kingdom in line with the interests of the Pahlavi regime, committing crimes against the people of Iran both by insulting holy places and carrying out terrorist attacks.

The explosion in Seyyed al-Shohdai Hosseinieh, Shiraz, southern Iran in 2008, which resulted in the martyrdom of 14 Iranian citizens and the injury of 300 others is one of the terrorist group's terrorist acts.

He also planned to carry out several terrorist operations, including the explosion of a dam in Shiraz and the detonation of cyanide bombs at the Tehran book fair, which were thwarted by the preemptive measures of the Iranian intelligence forces.

With regard to the terrorist attacks, Jamshid Sharmhed stated in a video message: "We are not ashamed to kill anyone; We do not deny the Shiraz explosion; We assassinate and create terror."

Sharmahd was detained in August 2020, after a decade of terrorist acts against Iran.
