Evidence provided to embassies for arrested foreign saboteurs

The Spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the ministry provided foreign states with evidence of some of their nationals' sabotage in Iran during the recent unrest.

The unrest was instigated under the pretext of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman, who died due to a sudden heart attack in a police center in Tehran on Tuesday, September 13, after being taken there for violation of dress codes along with some other women.

Nasser Kanani told reporters that some of the foreign nationals played a role in the recent unrest in Iran, who were arrested, and the due judiciary measures were taken to address their crimes.

Kanani further said that during the unrest, the relevant ambassadors were summoned, received the sabotage evidence, and were urged to bring their courtries' response to Iran.

Under the pretext of Mahsa Amini's death, the anti-Iranian media and bloggers affiliated with the Western states, along with a number of foreign saboteurs, fueled the unrest in Iran.

Iran MFA to Germany: Look at your history of human rights

Nasser Kanani reacted to the bombastic claims of the German chancellor against Iran over the violation of human rights and her move to threaten Iran with more sanctions.

Kanani said that Germany had better look at the country's own background in arming the Ba'athist regime of Saddam against the Iranian nation during the 8-year defence.

During the Western-backed Ba'athist regime's 8-year war against Iran, Germany provided the regime with chemical bombs to pour on the Iranian people, for example, in Sardasht.

Kanaani pointed out to the German authorities, saying: "It is unbecoming that they reprimand Iran over human rights."

The MFA spokesman said Iran advised the meddlesome European countries to stop human rights exploitation and to behave in the diplomatic frameworks.

Sanctions were of no use against Iran, he noted.

Kanani noted that Iran was pursuing a policy based on expanding friendly ties with neighbors, including the Republic of Azerbaijan, but no one had the right to abuse the Iranian policy.

He pointed out that Iran would not be provoked by some comments arising out of excitement, and that no one should interpret Iran's patience as its weakness.
