Tehran (IP) - First Vice President of Iran, in a meeting with Tajik President, called for boosting Tehran-Dushanbe relations.

Iran PressIran news: Meeting with Emomali Rahmon on Monday, the Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber announced Iran's readiness to take stronger steps than before in exporting technical and engineering services, as well as scientific and academic exchanges between the two countries.

The Tajik president, for his part, stated that the vision and understanding of cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan in the fields of trade, technology, health, energy, transportation and academia should be further expanded.

The two sides also stressed the importance of peace, stability and security in the region, especially in Afghanistan, and the prevention of disturbances in the peoples of the Middle East and Central Asia and the divisions between religions and peoples in the region by the hegemonic regime, led by the United States.

Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has traveled to Iran for a two-day visit at the head of a high-level delegation on Sunday afternoon.
