Iran Press/ Iran News: In a press conference on May 21, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Negative Impact of Unilateral Coercive Measures on the Enjoyment of Human Rights Alena Douhan called the US sanctions on Iran a violation of human rights.
She called on the US to stop its sanctions on the Iranian nation in terms of medicine and food.
In response to a question from Iran Press about the UN Rapporteur Alena Douhan's report on Iran, the Spokesman of Iran's Judiciary Masoud Setayeshi said on Tuesday that after a long time that different rapporteurs came and presented unjust reports about Iran, the UN special rapporteur finally acknowledged that the US sanctions on Iran were illegal.
In his weekly press conference, Setayeshi appreciated the UN representative's report that addressed the US medical sanctions on the Iranian people, including the children suffering from EB.
He expressed hope that the UN rapporteur's report would be taken into consideration by the UN and other international bodies.
Nouri's case was influenced by MKO: Judiciary Spox.
The Spokesman of Iran's Judiciary says that Mr. Nouri is kept in solitary confinement and has been deprived of having a lawyer that is because of the MKO's intervention.
Hamid Nouri was arrested upon his arrival at Stockholm Airport in 2019 and was immediately imprisoned.
Nouri, 61, has been held in solitary confinement for over two years, and his family has not been allowed to visit him in prison.
The Spokesman of Iran's Judiciary Masoud Setayeshi blamed the international bodies trumpeting human rights and accused the Swedish government of cutting off Mr. Nouri's access to contact for about 20 days and that he had been in solitary confinement for two years.
He also rejected the exchange of the Israeli spy Reza Jalali with Hamid Nouri and said a verdict was issued for Jalali that should be implemented.
