Geneva (IP) - The Vice-President of Iran's Judiciary for International Affairs told Argentina's permanent representative to the UN in Geneva Federico Villegas that politicization of the issues dealing with Human Rights must be avoided.

Iran PressEurope: Kazem Gharibabdi left Iran to Geneva to participate in the 49th high-ranking UN Human Rights Council meeting.

Gharibabadi met Federika Federico Villegas on Wednesday on the sidelines of the meeting and noted that the selective approach of the UN and its double standards undermined Human Rights.

He called for addressing the challenges facing human rights, including terrorism and unilateral hostile measures.

Villegas, for her part, rejected the selective and politicized approach to human rights, considering cooperation and interaction with the special procedures as means for further explanation of the human rights facts.
