In response to the Security Council sanctioning of the Ansarallah movement, a member of the Yemeni National Salvation Government's negotiating team said that this decision undermines United Nations' efforts to bring peace.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to Al-Masira, Abdul Malik Al-Ajri added: "The decision to impose an arms embargo contradicts the claim of the UN Special Representative for Yemen that peace and dialogue operations have begun, so how can one call for peace on the one hand and escalate the situation on the other?"

The Yemeni delegation member added: "These resolutions prove that the Security Council and the UN institutions are only companies that serve the interests of the United States and the West."

Al-Ajri also said that the Security Council and the United Nations sell decisions to those who pay and that they do not care about world peace and security.

He added that the Yemeni humanitarian case is in a catastrophic state both before and after this decision.

" Arab and Muslim children are killed during all these years by hundreds of crimes, however, we have not seen a place of honor for human rights organizations," al-Ajri said.

"The world suffers from the terrorism of the United States, France and Britain, because they are the countries that have inflicted the most suffering upon humanity since the nineteenth century," he concluded.

The UN Security Council on Monday extended the Ansarallah arms embargo on Yemen for another year.
