Tehran (IP)- Keyvan Kashefi, the head of the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber of Commerce, said that the country's exports to Syria in the first nine months of the current Persian year (starting March 20) increased by 90% compared to the same period last year, which was $ 84 million.

Iran PressIran news: According to Keyvan Kashefi, Iran's exports to Syria have increased from $ 84 million to $ 160 million.

He also said that most of the goods exported from Iran to Syria were related to engineering (steam turbine parts and components), food and pharmaceutical industries.

The head of the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber of Commerce stated that Iran had a total of $ 35 billion in exports to various countries in the first nine months of the year, adding that Syria was among the 21 countries targeted by Iran's exports.

Recalling the trade potentials between Iran and Syria, Kashefi said: "With the establishment of security in Syria and the beginning of the country's reconstruction, it is possible to increase Iran's exports to Syria."

The head of the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber of Commerce also referred to establishing the Iranian Chamber of Commerce in Damascus by the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, calling it a means to facilitate trade between the two countries.
