Iran,Syria confer on travel facilitation for Iranian pilgrims

Damascus (IP) - The Iranian ambassador to Damascus met with the Syrian interior minister and discussed facilitating the sending of Iranian pilgrims to the Middle Eastern country.

Iran PressMiddle East: Mahdi Sobhani, and the Syrian interior minister, Major General Mohammad Khaled al-Rahmoun, on Friday, discussed facilitating the travel of Iranian pilgrims to Syria.

Sobhani in the meeting, noting that the presence of Iranian pilgrims in Syria will cause interaction between the two countries at the grassroots level, expressed hope that by creating more facilities for pilgrims, they would be able to travel to Syria easily.

Noting that the Syrian people and officials are looking forward to the presence of Iranian pilgrims, the Syrian interior minister said: "The Syrian Interior Ministry will spare no effort to expedite the arrival of pilgrims and create the necessary conditions to facilitate the travel of Iranian pilgrims."
