Iran logs 45 COVID deaths in 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Thursday that 45 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 131,572.

Iran Press / Iran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 30, 2021, a total number of 6,192,698 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,034,821 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 1,936 cases, of whom 318 patients were hospitalized.

2,713 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 41,887,743 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

From the start of the nationwide vaccination program, 59,770,795 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 51,807,160 have received the second dose, 7,476,324 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 119,054,279 doses.
