Iran logs 216 COVID deaths in 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Ministry announced on Sunday that 216 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 121,563.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 05, 2021, 5,651,961 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 5,135,887 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 13,266 cases, out of whom 1,922 patients were hospitalized.

5,665 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 32,723,597 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 16 cities are red, 198 are orange, 176 are yellow, and 58 are blue zones.

So far, 42,449,726 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 17,208,581 have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 59,658,307 doses.
