Coronavirus vaccination: More than 5.48 billion shots given across world

More than 5.48 billion doses have been administered across 182 countries, according to data collected by Bloomberg.

Iran PressAmerica: The latest rate was roughly 38.7 million doses a day. More than 5.48 billion doses have been administered—enough to fully vaccinate 35.7% of the global population.

In the US, 374 million doses have been given so far. In the last week, an average of 942,472 doses per day was administered.

Enough doses have now been administered to fully vaccinate 35.7% of the global population—but the distribution has been lopsided. 

Countries and regions with the highest incomes are getting vaccinated more than 20 times faster than those with the lowest.

The global death toll is 4,584,004 with 221,644,366 confirmed cases.
