Tehran (IP) - On the eve of his swearing-in ceremony, Iran's new president met delegations from Bolivia, Nicaragua, Ghana, and the Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measure in Asia (CICA).

Iran PressIran news: Referring to the importance of developing and strengthening relations and cooperation between Iran and Bolivia, Raisi said: "The two countries have many areas for developing the level of relations that should be identified and used to improve relations and interests of the two nations."

Bolivian Foreign Minister Rogelio Mayta also conveyed the congratulatory message of the Bolivian government and people, emphasizing his country's interest and will to deepen and strengthen friendly ties with Iran, adding: "Despite US sabotage, we are determined to promote the level of relations with Tehran in all areas.

Ebrahim Raisi continued his meetings on Wednesday during a meeting with Ghana's Minister of Tourism Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, stating that the current level of relations between Iran and Ghana and other African countries is not acceptable saying: "Ghana has a good position for economic activity and can be Iran's gateway to the continent."

 

In this meeting, Ibrahim Mohammed conveyed the sincere congratulations of the President of his country for the beginning of the activity of the main government. He said: "We hope that with the removal of obstacles, relations and interactions between Iran and Ghana in various fields, especially in the economic field, will expand as much as possible."

 

Raisi also thanked Kairat Sarybay, Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measure in Asia (CICA), for his congratulation for Iran's 13th government, saying: "Iran considers the activity and dynamism of regional organizations as an important factor in countering unilateralism."

Sarybay also expressed hope for the continuation and strengthening of the constructive role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the CICA mechanism to promote peace and security in the region and the world.

"Today, Asia has a significant impact on the management of global developments, and Sika seeks to strengthen the role of Asian countries in the international arena," he said.

He added: "The focus of CICA's activities is on strengthening the role of Asian countries in deciding on the issues of this continent and preventing the involvement of non-Asian countries in the developments of this continent."
