The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence announced in a statement the discovery and prevention of terrorist plots to assassinate 35 senior officials during the 12-Day War, as well as 13 similar plots in the months leading up to the conflict.

Why it matters: 

The achievement shows that at first hand the Iranian intelligence apparatus is vigilant about the Israeli enemy and that the terrorist plots against the regional stability are going on.

Offensive and intelligence measures against the Zionist regime:

  • Conducting espionage operations in Israel
  • Recruiting intelligence agents from Israel’s military and security sectors
  • Only a few agents were arrested.

Strengthening intelligence access:

  • Obtaining sensitive information on regime targets, including top-secret nuclear documents
  • Providing precise coordinates of key centers (security, military, economic, industrial, etc.) to the armed forces

Arresting spies:

  • Detecting Israeli regime-affiliated agents operating in economic, financial, and industrial sectors
  • Apprehending 20 Mossad spies

Neutralizing sabotage:

  • Identifying intended sabotage targets within the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) and military facilities
