Iran’s enemies have failed in their objectives and are merely "flogging a dead horse,” noted Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as he condemned the Israeli regime and its Western backers for their war crimes against Iran.

Why it matters:

The message shows the world that in case of practicing steadfast resistance against the world's bullies, they can do nothing, as the Iranian nation showed it actually.

The big picture:

Ayatollah Khamenei issued the message, marking the 40th day since the martyrdom of military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians killed during recent Israeli airstrikes on Iran.

What he's saying:

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution addressed the “dignified nation of Iran,”: "June 13 aggression, carried out with backing from the United States, targeted Iran’s nuclear, military, and residential facilities and claimed over 1,000 lives. Among the fallen were senior figures, including Martyrs Bagheri, Salami, Hajizadeh, Tehranchi, and Abbasi."

Ayatollah Khamenei praised Iran's swift and forceful military response, including 22 waves of missile attacks conducted by the IRGC’s Aerospace Force under Operation True Promise III, which he said inflicted heavy damage on Israeli targets.

“This savage blow came from the Zionist regime, the evil and criminal adversary of the Iranian nation,” the message read. “But their foolishness and shortsightedness yielded no gains.”

The Leader emphasized that the country’s scientific and military momentum would accelerate in their absence. He called on Iranians to preserve unity and continue advancing in science and technology.

"Military commanders must increasingly equip the country with the means to safeguard national security and independence," the message read, extending the duty to all responsible executive bodies to be serious and follow up on the country's work and bring it to fruition."

The Leader asked the nation to maintain their unity, declaring that the nation will grow stronger each day that passes. He also called on the Iranian nation to continue their scientific and technological progress in different fields.

Ayatollah Khamenei further said that the jouirnalists and writers have a duty to save the country's face, "reputation" and "dignity".
