Tehran (IP) - Iran's parliament speaker says with the follow-up measures of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the problems of blackouts in the country had been reduced to some extent.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, on Sunday in the open session of the parliament, offered condolences to the people of Iran on the martyrdom anniversary of the fifth Shia Imam, Imam Mohammad Bagher.

"With the lawmakers addressing the people's problems, important measures were taken to solve their problems including frequent blackouts which had made trouble for people and many businesses had suffered huge losses," he noted.

Ghalibaf highlighted that with the follow-up measures of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the problems of blackouts had been reduced to some extent.

"I emphasize that monitoring the continuation of these activities is the will of the people," he added.

Pointing to the vaccination against the coronavirus, the speaker said: "The outbreak of the fifth wave of COVID-19 in the south and southeast of Iran has created many difficulties for the people, which has increased the dire need for vaccination," stressed Ghalibaf.
