Tehran (IP) - The head of the Iran-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group stressed the need to remove possible legal obstacles to boost economic cooperation between Iran and Georgia.

Iran Press/Iran news: Adel Najafzadeh, head of the Iran-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group, said during a meeting with Georgian Ambassador to Tehran Joseph Chakhvashvili: "Considering the principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to strengthen relations with neighbors and friendly countries in the Caucasus, We give high priority to dialogue and cooperation with Georgia."

The head of the Iran-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group called economic relations an important part of the two countries' cooperation and said: "The parliaments of the two countries should remove possible legal obstacles to Iran-Georgia economic cooperation so that we can quickly return to pre-coronavirus conditions."

Georgian Ambassador to Tehran Joseph Chakhvashvili also expressed satisfaction over the formation of the Iran-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group and expressed hope that the talks would further strengthen Iran-Georgia parliamentary relations.
