Iran, Georgia examine Iranian investors' problems in Georgia

Tbilisi (IP) – Iranian ambassador to Tbilisi and the Georgian minister of finance discussed the problems of Iranian investors in Georgia during a meeting.

Iran PressEurope: Iranian Ambassador to Georgia Akbar Qasemi and Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili discussed customs cooperation, the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea corridors, and the problems of Iranian investors.

Referring to the strategic role of human factors in strengthening relations between the two countries, Qasemi said: "It will be difficult to pursue the major interests of the two countries, regardless of consolidating the stabilizing processes in solving the problems of Iranian investors in Georgia and finding appropriate solutions to solve their travel and residence problems."

Lasha Khutsishvili also referred to Iran's key role in the region and its important position, stressed the constructive and forward relations, and called for the development of ties between the two countries in transportation, increased economic, trade, and trade customs cooperation.

He underlined Tbilisi's readiness to take new steps to advance Iran-Georgian relations.

He also noted his readiness to seek and find an efficient solution to investors' problems, especially in connection with the residence of Iranians. He provided a comprehensive package to be provided by the embassy to the Finance Ministry to take the necessary measures to solve the problems through joint efforts of the relevant bodies.
