Araghchi: Vienna talks to be continued as long as necessary

Vienna (IP) - The head of the Iranian negotiating team in Vienna said that they need a lot of political, technical, and legal discussions and consultations, and they would continue these talks as long as necessary.

Iran PressIran news: On Sunday, Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with Press TV that the other parties to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) must assure the Islamic Republic of Iran what happened in the past (US withdrawal from the agreement) will not be repeated in the future.

The head of the Iranian negotiating team in Vienna noted: "To achieve this, we need a lot of political, technical, and legal discussions and consultations, and we will continue these talks as long as necessary."

"There are still many technical issues to reach a final agreement that need to be resolved," Araghchi said.

Abbas Araghchi, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the head of Iran's negotiating delegation, arrived in the Austrian capital Vienna yesterday - Saturday - to resume the JCPOA talks.
