Vienna (IP) - The head of the Iranian negotiating team said that the next round of Vienna talks to revive the JCPOA could be the final round, adding that the members of the nuclear deal and the Americans should make their own tough decisions.

Iran PressIran News: "The other member states of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action  and the Americans must make a decision and align themselves with the positions of the Islamic Republic," said Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, head of Iran's negotiating team, on Wednesday evening after the end of the fifth round of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) Joint Commission meeting in Vienna.

The head of the Iranian negotiating team added: "How the United States returns to JCPOA and how to verify and then return to its obligations in JCPOA, should be implemented in a way that is agreed between the parties and serves the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

"Texts related to different parts of the talks have been written, but there is still a long way to go before a final agreement is reached," Araghchi said.

The meeting of the JCPOA Joint Commission was held in Vienna on Wednesday evening, Tehran time, with the presence of representatives of Iran and the P4+1 group (China, France, Germany, Russia, Britain).

At this meeting, it was decided that while continuing the contacts and discussions at the expert level, the heads of the delegations will leave for a few days for consultations in the capitals and the talks will resume in the coming days.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has stated that it will return to its commitments when the United States lifts all anti-Iranian sanctions in practice and that the lifting of sanctions is verified by Iran.
