Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Monday that in the past 24 hours, 286 people had died of COVID-19, bringing the total death toll to 77,222.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to May 17, 2021, 2,765,485 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 2,242,023 of the total infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 14,319 cases, out of whom 2,094 patients were hospitalized.

5,264 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICUs).

So far, 18,151,487 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 3 cities are red, 262 are orange, and 183 are yellow zones.

So far, 2,032,162 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 388,821 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 2,420,983 doses.
