AEOI Spokesman:

Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) announced the holding of a meeting between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency for technical interactions between the two sides.

Iran PressIran News: Behrouz Kamalvandi, said that the meeting between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which will be held in early April is in terms of technical interactions between the two sides and in the framework of safeguards issues. 

Referring to the reason for the upcoming visit of the IAEA technical delegation to Iran in early April, Kamalvandi noted: "Iran has welcomed the IAEA suggestion to resolve some issues."

Reuters reported on Thursday, citing diplomatic sources that Britain, France, and Germany withdrew from their US-backed plan to pass a resolution against Iran on the IAEA Board of Governors. After that, Rafael Grossi, the IAEA director-general announced the holding of a meeting in early April in Iran.

"The meeting is to discuss technical issues," said Rafael Grossi.
