Moscow (IP): The Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia emphasized the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in oil and energy.

Iran PressEurope: On Monday, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak in Moscow, referring to the expanding cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in various fields, stated: In the current situation, including the unilateral US sanctions against Iran and Russia, strengthening the convergence and cooperation between Tehran and Moscow is very important and effective.

Zanganeh stressed that there had been close cooperation between Iran and Russia in recent years in the field of oil and energy, emphasizing: Tehran wants to deepen this cooperation to neutralize the consequences of sanctions.

Pointing out that many changes have taken place in the international arena, the Iranian oil minister said: In any case, Iran-Russia relations will not change, and Tehran is determined to strengthen relations with Moscow.

The Russian Deputy Prime Minister also expressed satisfaction with Moscow and Tehran's growing relations, noting: "Russia definitely wants more convergence with Iran in all fields, especially in the field of oil and energy."

Alexander Novak said: Iran and Russia have always had close and growing cooperation in oil and energy, and this cooperation will continue.

In addition to meeting with Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov, Zanganeh also met with heads of Russian oil companies.
