Iran, Russia stress constant consultations on international oil, gas markets

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister stressed the need to continue bilateral consultations in areas, including international oil and gas markets as well as transport and transit corridors.

Iran PressIran news: In a virtual meeting, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Gholamreza Ansari and the Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandr Pankin discussed bilateral economic cooperation, the evaluation of the performance of Iran's one-year interim free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the development of the cooperation, as well as the cooperation of the two countries in regional and international economic organizations.

Expressing satisfaction with the development of economic relations between the two countries, the two sides stressed the need for increased efforts in this regard, given the conditions of the COVID-19 crisis.

The two sides also expressed interest in continuing Tehran-Moscow consultations in the field of international oil and gas markets as well as transport and transit corridors and welcomed holding economic and trade conferences on topics of interest as a good opportunity to maintain economic communications.
