In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the 15th International Conference on Resistance — organized by the Islamic Movement and held in Bauchi State on Friday — Dr. Najeeb Umar Maigatari, a Nigerian medical doctor, intellectual, and activist, stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has demonstrated to the world that all power belongs to Allah the Almighty. He added that African nations can learn from Iran that true freedom is achieved by refusing to bow to arrogant powers.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has proven to the world that all power belongs to Allah — this is very important," Dr. Maigatari said. "Iran refused to bow to the arrogant powers. America, Israel, and their allies thought they could dictate to all countries what they should do in the interest of the imperialists. But the Islamic Republic of Iran stood against these colonialists and imperialists, and Iran emerged victorious."

He continued: "This is a lesson for all countries of the world, especially Africa, where we have been under modern colonialism and imperialism. These arrogant powers dictate to our governments. They decide what we should do. We must learn from Iran that we should rely on Allah the Almighty. We should copy Iran's model of self-reliance and stop worshipping the arrogant powers — just as we have seen Iran do, emerging victorious with the help of Allah."

When asked how Africans can emulate Iran in developing human resources to foster self-reliance, Dr. Maigatari cited the example of Martyr General Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, an IRGC Aerospace officer regarded as the father of Iran's missile program. He emphasized that Africa can only develop by prioritizing education and self-reliance instead of depending on Western imperialists.

"Martyr Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam — who is called the father of Iran's missile technology — actually invented different types of Iranian missiles that we see today being launched against the aggressors and the Zionist empire," he said. "Shahid Tehrani Moghaddam laid the foundation of this missile technology."

He added: "There are also many other personalities who contributed greatly to the success of the Islamic Republic, such as Martyr Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari, who built the intellectual framework of the Islamic Revolution, and people like Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, who led the revolution after the demise of Imam Khomeini and took it to a higher position than the world had ever expected. African nations should learn from all of this."
