Tehran (IP) - A spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said in response to the martyrdom of a 17-year-old Palestinian in the West Bank that the crime of the Israeli regime is directly related to the normalization of relations between some Arab countries and Israel.

Iran PressMiddle East: "The execution of a Palestinian teenager is a sign of the continuing state terrorism of the occupiers against our nation in the West Bank, Gaza and al-Quds," Hazim Qasim told Al-Mayadin on Sunday.

The official said the actions of the compromises with Israel are like covering and encouraging the crimes of the Israeli regime.

He said: "The issue of Palestinian prisoners is a strategic issue and is at the top of Hamas' priorities, and efforts should be made to release the prisoners within the framework of the prisoner exchange agreement."

Qasim added: "We have a complete plan to strengthen the stability of the prisoners and we are following the case of Maher al-Akhras, a Palestinian prisoner who continues his hunger strike."

Reacting to the normalization of relations between Sudan and the Zionist regime, he said: "The normalization of relations is only in the direction of Trump's victory in the presidential election and a means to cover up the internal problems of Benjamin Netanyahu.”

Qasim noted: "The normalization of relations has no benefit at the national level for Sudan and other compromisers and would only increase their problems."

The Sudanese government formally agreed on Friday night, as the third compromising government with the Zionist regime after the UAE and Bahrain, to fully normalize relations with Israel.

Following the agreement, the Sudanese people protested and chanted, "there is no peace with the occupying regime," condemning the move by the government of Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk to normalize relations with the Zionist regime.

Hamas spokesman stated: "The path of normalization is only in the service of the Zionist regime and its colonial plans in the region."

Regarding the group's delegation to Egypt, Qasim said: "The Hamas delegation to Cairo will examine the process of Palestinian reconciliation."

Hamas’ spokesman said Egypt's role in achieving reconciliation between the Palestinian factions was positive, adding that members of the Hamas delegation would also discuss ways to alleviate the Palestinians’ suffering in Gaza.

He added: "A delegation from Gaza will also join the Hamas delegation in the Cairo talks."

The Hamas statement came after Palestinian media reported the martyrdom of a 17-year-old Palestinian teenager in the West Bank.
