Iran Press/Iran news: Delivering a speech in the inauguration ceremony of the permanent exhibition of Self-Sufficiency Jihad of Railway, Hamidreza Hajibabaee said that railway transportation is our priority in the Sixth Development Plan.
The MP said based on the Sixth Program, 30% of transferring cargo and 20% of transferring passengers is planned to be done through railways.
Economic centers can be connected via railways, and one percent of oil and gas income to be allocated to railway transportation. However, sanctions have caused problems for us, he added.

The Railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Support signed a bilateral MoU on cooperation.
This memorandum was signed with the participation of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Minister of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces by Saeed Rasouli, Director General of Railways, and Amir Mozaffarinia, Deputy Minister of Defence for Industrial Affairs.
According to the memorandum, the two sides will provide and develop strategic joint ventures in production and financing.
