Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman reacted to the French Foreign Minister's interventionist remarks, saying that Tehran does not in any way stand its principles of governance being disrespected, including the independence of the Judiciary.

Iran Press/Iran news: In response to the French Foreign Minister's remarks about Fariba Adelkhah, a dual citizen in Iran, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said on Wednesday that the investigation into "Iranian nationals' crimes" is solely within the jurisdiction of "Iranian courts."

"The case has been heard in court and Adelkhah has enjoyed her citizenship rights," Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman added.

In an interventionist statement, the French Foreign Minister reacted to the sentencing of a dual citizen in Iran, saying that relations with Tehran had become more difficult since then.

In a statement on Tuesday, Jean-Yves Le Drian reacted to the conviction of Fariba Adelkhah, an Iranian-French citizen convicted on charges of collusion against national security.
