Pakistan and Iran have agreed on a comprehensive joint action plan to deepen cooperation in the railway sector, including infrastructure upgrades, freight operations, and regional trade integration. The agreement was reached during a high-level meeting in Islamabad between Pakistan’s Minister for Railways, Hanif Abbasi, and Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzaneh Sadeghi.
