Damascus (IP) - People’s Assembly (Parliament) elections in Syria began on Monday, July 15, marking the fourth parliamentary elections held after the outbreak of the Syrian crisis in 2011.

Iran Press/ West Asia: According to the Iran Press news agency, the High Judicial Election Committee of Syria announced that the voting for the fourth People's Assembly elections for the fourth legislative period began with the opening of ballot boxes in all the polling centers in this country.

The High Judicial Committee of Syrian Elections added that the number of final candidates for the People's Assembly elections reached 1,516 and 8,151 polling centers have been planned for the participation of citizens.
