Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari said on Sunday that so far, 471,722 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 389,966 of the total infected people have recovered.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 4, 2020, 3,653 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 1,483 of patients were hospitalized, said Lari.

She added that in the past 24 hours, 211 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 26,957.4,154 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, 4,123,173 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted," the health ministry spokeswoman noted.

She pointed out: "Provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamadan, and Yazd are regarded as red zones."

According to the Health Ministry Spokeswoman, provinces of Kurdistan, Hormozgan, Fars, and Golestan are on alert.
