IP- Exporting technical and engineering services, petrochemical products, and oil products, as well as rebuilding Sri Lankan oil facilities are among the other common grounds for negotiations during the Iranian president's visit to Sri Lanka.

Iran Press/Asia: At the head of a high-ranking delegation, including the Minister of Petroleum Jawad Owji, the road minister, and some other dignitaries the Iranian president headed toward Sri Lanka early this morning.

The visit comes after a two-day official visit to Pakistan in which Iranian President Ibrahim Raisie held talks with Pakistani officials and the two sides decided to boost their annual trade volume to as much as 10 billion dollars.

The Iranian president is visiting the country at the official invitation of his Sri Lankan counterpart, where he is going to attend the inauguration ceremony of a multi-purpose project of Uma Oya dam and power plant.

The Uma Oya Hydropower Complex (also internally called Uma Oya Multipurpose Development Project or UOMDP) is an irrigation and hydroelectric complex currently under construction in the Badulla District of Sri Lanka.
