Tehran (IP)- Iran's Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said that no new immigrants will be accepted in the country.

Iran PressIran news: The minister made a statement that over 1.3 million foreigners were deported from Iran last year. He further emphasized that illegal immigrants must leave Iran and new immigrants will not be accepted. To prevent the entry of illegal immigrants, the laws must be amended.

While there are no official and accurate statistics available on the number of foreigners in Iran, some sources have stated that the number could be as high as 15 million people, most of whom are illegal immigrants.
