Zionist regime prisons

A senior member of the Islamic Jihad Movement said that the Zionist Regime is deliberately engaged in infecting the Palestinian detainees with COVID-19.

Iran PressMiddle East: Khader Adnan on Sunday referred to the Palestinian detainees who have been infected with COVID-19 recently and said that the Zionists have purposely adopted a policy of medical negligence towards the prisoners, and on the other hand, they have removed all the cleaning tools from the cells of the prisons.

Adnan also called on the Palestinian detainees to go on hunger strike to fight against the adversary and suppressive measures of the Zionist military personnel.

About 4,800 Palestinian prisoners are being held in Israeli prisons, including 170 children, 39 women and dozens of elderly people.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ) several times has said that the Zionist Regime is pursuing a policy of gradual death against Palestinian prisoners.

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement also called the Zionists' move as the violation of all red lines and called on international legal entities to address the crimes of the Zionist Regime in the prisons.

In the past week, two more Palestinian detainees have been infected with coronavirus in Israeli prisons in Ramallah, occupied West Bank.

The number of Palestinians infected with coronavirus in Israeli prisons has risen to five, in addition to two detainees who were diagnosed with COVID-19 after being released.

Globally, the World Health Organization, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and U.N. human rights experts have all issued guidelines and statements highlighting the need to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in detention settings.
