Iran Press/ Iran News: Nasser Kanani said Hossein Amir- Abdollahian was welcomed by the officials of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs upon arrival.
Kanani stated: "Based on the arrangements made, the Iranian foreign minister will on Monday meet with Japan's officials, including Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi and Minister of Health, Labor and Social Welfare Katsunobu Kato, and discuss and exchange views with them on the latest state of bilateral relations, regional issues and international developments."
It is noted that the visit of the foreign minister of Iran to Tokyo coincides with the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 by the United States of America, which led to a massive human disaster in these two cities.
Simultaneously with the visit of Iran's foreign minister to Japan, a delegation from the Tehran Peace Museum is also present at the commemoration ceremony of the victims of atomic bombing of Hiroshima in order to express sympathy.
The museum represents the chemical veterans of eight years of holy defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran in war with Iraq
