Tehran (IP)- The head of the economic cooperation department of the Japanese Embassy in Tehran said that Japan is ready to transfer experiences of retrofitting buildings to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Hiroki Nishi, in the opening ceremony of the second international conference on improving the resilience of hospitals and main buildings at the Iran Road, Housing and Urban Development Research Center (BHRC) said:" Iran and Japan bear many similarities like being prone to earthquakes."

Hiroki Nishi added: "Japan has been able to increase its capabilities in buildings resilience and dealing with earthquakes and accordingly, seeks to share these experiences with other countries, including Iran."

Pointing to the development of joint programs by Iran and Japan, Hiroki Nishi stated that holding long-term training courses aimed at reducing the risks of earthquakes, and a joint workshop on the strengthening of metallic structures are among these programs.
