People of Birjand city in the Iranian province of South Khorasan have praised their government's new approach to reduce some of its commitments under the Nuclear Deal.

Iran Press/Iran news: Supporting President Hassan Rouhani's new approach towards the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), an Iranian citizen who lives in Birjand -- a city in eastern Iran -- said: "Considering the fact that the US and the EU have not honoured their words and promises, this approach could have been adopted even earlier."

"It would have been better if the Iranian government had taken this approach sooner, but the new approach is also right," another Iranian citizen said in an interview with Iran Press.

"All the Iranian people from all walks of life, and from across the social spectrum, are supporting this new approach by the government," an Iranian clergyman said.

"It seems that the 60 days that have been given to European countries may have a positive effect and they may change their mind," he added.

Iran has issued a stern warning to the European signatories of the JCPOA, giving them a 60-day period to fulfil their obligations, promises and commitments under the JCPOA, and warning them that Iran's patience has reached its limit, and Tehran now expects to see the European signatories to the agreement implement their obligations.

The warning was issued on the first anniversary of US abrogation of the multilateral nuclear agreement, JCPOA. 101/211/201
