After three civilians were killed in Indian-administered Kashmir, tensions have intensified noticeably in the region.

The streets of Indian-administered Kashmir have witnessed the heavy presence of Indian soldiers, who are trying to calm down the situation, bringing it under control.

Three civilians, including a 15-year-old female student, were killed on Saturday after Indian paramilitary forces fired on Kashmiri protesters.

Kashmir has been divided between India and Pakistan since 1947.

The mountainous region has a long history of conflict and is one of the most heavily militarised places on Earth.
