The Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran has organized a traditional Iranian food festival in Pakistan’s port city of Karachi.

According to reports, the food festival was organized with special participation of  Iranian women, in order to  highlight  Iran's  culture and to celebrate the New Iranian Year.

A Haft-Sin table was also furnished with the traditional seven symbolic items, each beginning with the Persian letter S (Sin). 

The wife of Iranian Consul General, senior officials of the provincial government, the wife of the speaker of the provincial assembly, foreign diplomats, Iranian citizens, social and cultural personalities were all present at the food festival in Karachi. 

Those attending the festival had a chance to taste no less than  30 different Iranian dishes, cuisines , and culinary delights.
