In June, more than 1.5 million tons of petrochemical products were exported from the South Pars Special Zone, showing a very healthy increase of 23 percent compared to the previous month, according to the Director-General of Pars Special Energy Economic Zone.

Iran Press/Iran news: Ahmad Pourheidar, noted the importance of South Pars in the production and export of commercial products and said: "South Pars is the largest industrial complex in the country that plays an important role in supplying natural gas, derivatives, and petrochemicals for export."

He reported an increase in exports, adding that in June, more than 1.5 million tons of South Pars petrochemical products were sold to different countries, worth a total of $ 706.5 million, Iran Press reported.

Ethylene glycol, butane, propane, polystyrene, methanol, cement, urea fertilizer, and ammonia were among the major products exported from the South Pars Gas Field to various countries including India, Mozambique, South Africa, Uzbekistan, China, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Turkey, Italy, and the Persian Gulf states.

He also pointed to imports through the South Pars customs office, adding that in June, more than 9786 tonnes of goods worth more than $ 430 million including laboratory equipment, heat furnaces, gas valves, gas turbine parts, and other industrial equipment have been imported into the country.  101/211/218
