People of all walks of life across Iran attend the 9th day of mourning ceremonies in Moharramat on the eve of Ashura.

Iranian mourners commemorate Tasu'a. 9th day of Muharram in over 1000 cities, towns across Iran.

Tasu'a processions are held a day before the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the grandson of Prophet Mohammad and the third Imam in Shia Islam.

Millions of mourners hold ceremonies across Iran as well as Iraq in the holy city of Najaf and Karbala and also Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Lebanon.
