Iran Press/ America: Iran's envoy to the UN, Eshaq Ale-Habib in his speech at the UN Security Council meeting titled 'Women, Peace, and security' on Tuesday said that ensuring women's security during armed conflicts is as a holy aim, as improving their role in resolving disputes.
"The most effective way to ensure women's safety in armed conflicts is in the first place, to prevent the conflicts from happening," he said, stressing that this is of paramount importance that in the Middle East, where women and girls continue to suffer from the destructive armed conflicts.
Elsewhere in his speech, Ale-Habib referred to the suffering of Palestinian women jailed in the Israeli regime's prisons and said that the Palestinian women's and girls' decades-long suffering cannot end but with ending the foreign occupation of their country.

He noted that the UNSC's failure in supporting Palestinian women and girls has led to their killing, detention, torture, displacement, and the systematic violation of their basic rights.
The diplomat also referred to the negative impact of terrorism and violent extremism on the lives of women, adding that genuine efforts are needed to protect women against such dire circumstances.
"As long as the UNSC's resolutions are left unimplemented, no institution could put an end to the sufferings of the women in armed conflicts," Iran's envoy to UN said. 207
