Iran Press/ Iran News: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Monday in a meeting with Ziad Nakhleh, Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement and the accompanying delegation, while congratulating the recent great victory of the resistance fighters in the 5-day war in Gaza and the effective role of the resistance groups' unity in this victory called the Palestinian issue the central issue of the Islamic world and emphasized the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the cause of Palestine and the Holy Quds and the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people against the Zionist occupation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran highlighted the Zionist racist regime as the origin and main source of creating insecurity and instability in the region and called for the concerted and effective action of Islamic countries and governments to stop the Zionists' crimes against humanity against the oppressed Palestinian nation and to protect the Islamic sanctuaries in the Holy Qods.
The FM added: "The fruit of the struggle and sacrifice of Martyr Soleimani has crystallized in the belief of many governments and nations of the region today that it is necessary to take the fate of the security and stability of the region in their own hands and pursue the development of the region without the interference of foreigners."
In the meeting, Ziad Nakhleh, Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, also presented his assessment of the development process in Palestine and the occupied territories and went on to say: "The Palestinian resistance groups are in the best conditions in terms of preparation and unity of action against the Zionist regime and are capable with the firm support of the Palestinian nation to stand against any kind of aggression by the usurping Zionist regime and achieve great victories."
