Tehran (IP) - Iranians from all walks of life in the four corners of the country like other people from the Muslim world marked the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with celebration and fireworks including a scenic celebration in the capital city of Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: The celebration in Tehran was held on Tuesday evening in Valiasr Square with a huge participation of people.

Also on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Prophet of Islam, people in Tabriz the capital city of East Azerbaijan Province enjoyed amazing Scenic lighting.

October 3, 2023, Rabi ul-Awwal 17, 1445 AH, is the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his grandson Imam Jafar al-Sadegh, the sixth Imam of the Shia. 

The Shia Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born on Rabi ul-Awwal 17 and the Sunni Muslims believe it happened on Rabi ul-Awwal 12.

The time span between the two dates was named the Week of Unity a symbol of unity and solidarity among the world's Muslims.
