Tehran (IP) – Iran and Tajikistan signed bilateral agreements on various areas mainly fight against extremism, terrorism, and narcotics.

Iran PressIran news: In the meeting held on Wednesday, the Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli stressed security cooperation between Dushanbe and Tehran and the joint fight against extremism and terrorism.

Rahmani Fazli also put emphasis on security cooperation against narcotics trafficking as an issue the two countries insisted on. Tajikistan Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda for his part highlighted historical and cultural ties of the two Muslim countries and said his country was eager to develop ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The official delegation of Tajikistan led by Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda arrived in Tehran today to hold talks with high-ranking Iranian officials and discuss the issues related to bilateral security cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.

The three-day visit of the Tajik minister is aimed at developing relations between the two countries. The agreements signed included issues of investment, economy, science, language, and culture.
