Iran Press/ Iran news: A resolution proposed by the United States and the EU (the European Commission, the European Central Bank, and the International Monetary Fund) against Iran was adopted on Wednesday, June 8, despite strong opposition from China and Russia at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors' quarterly meeting.
On the sidelines of the meeting of the parliament's Commission of National Security and Foreign Policy, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the parties of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) must know that the Iranian nation's interests were on top priority in the negotiations.
Amir-Abdollahian said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has presented its initiatives and ideas within a rational framework in and has acted based on them in response to the logical behavior the other side."
Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations based in Vienna criticized the anti-Iranian resolution approved by the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), calling it a "stupid" act.
The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) then issued a statement announcing the shutdown of the On-Line Enrichment Monitor (OLEM) system and flow meter in Iran as a part of the response to the 'stupid' resolution.
